Snacks are important part of kids diet and if it is not well planned, children end up eating junk (biscuits, chocolates, chips etc.). Hence I am going to share quick healthy snacks idea for kids that don't require much work.
- Roasted makhana
- Roasted peanuts
- Fresh cut seasonal fruits
- Curd with seeds
- Home-made raw paneer
- foxnut-Coconut ladoo (recipe)
- Home made biscuits
- Boiled potato
- Boiled sweet potato
- Toast with peanut butter
- Boiled channa
- Boiled sweetcorn
- Sautéed/boiled raw banana
- Dates & raisins
- Milk shake
- Fruit smoothie(fruits blended in curd)
- Overnight oats
- Fresh coconut water
- Boiled rajma chaat
- Boiled soya chunks
All above options require no to very little preparation or you can do preparation in advance. If you have some spare time for preparation, you can consider following items too :
- Sautéed seasonal vegetables (mushroom, potato, carrot, paneer, taro-root(arbi), cauliflower, broccoli, capsicum, zucchini etc.)
- French fries
- Aloo, vegetable or channa tikki
- Besan, multigrain or ragi cheela
- sautéed paneer
- Idli if you have batter prepared
- Atta/sooji/ragi halwa (I always keep roasted sooji ready so that I can quickly make sooji halwa)
- makhana kheer
- Ragi/oats/wheat porridge
- Custard
- Ragi banana bread(recipe)
